Is Osiris in the Bible?
What the Bible says about Osiris.
Osiris was not only the ruler of the dead but also the power that granted all life from the underworld, from vegetation to the annual flood of the Nile River. From about 2000 BCE, it was believed that every HUman, not just the deceased kings, became associated with Osiris at death.
Osiris is often depicted with green skin to represent his connection to rebirth. He was also frequently shown with black skin to represent the fertility of the soil near the Nile river which Seth threw him into.
Later extra-biblical traditions identified Nimrod as the ruler who commissioned the construction of the Tower of Babel or Jacob’s Ladder based on the Biblical dream of Jacob in Genesis 28:11–19, which led to his reputation as a king who was rebellious against God.
Nimrod is described in Genesis 10:8–12 as “the first on earth to be a mighty man. He was a mighty hunter before the Lord.”
Nimrod according to the Old Testament was the first King of Babylon. He was a conqueror who was a mighty hunter. The Bible doesn’t say anything about him being evil. In fact he was a hero to his people, like Hercules.
His “ evil reputation” mostly came from Jewish tradition and Christian commentators who claimed he was a “ rebel against God “.

Another A-ha! moment today. I didn’t know that Osiris was known in Egypt as Nimrod. I am seriously lagging behind in my knowledge of the Bible.

Ah, Antonia, I really like your A-ha! moments! I’m always amazed here at what gets connected….like it’s hidden in plain sight and then when you delve and really strongly desire to know, it gets revealed! Just like how RA Castaldo was saying in his video this morning, about Akhenaten’s light of the sun bestowals, and the chorus of electrons from the sun!
It helps to know the texts. I’ve been learning the bible my whole life and receiving insights from many various teachers. Now I’m able to see how some are really stuck (text with spelled words = spells cast). So many become hardened into systems blocking them from expansion, they can’t receive greater light. I think Jesus said be hungry and thirsty, because if you’re full and satiated you can’t receive any more.
I certainly love to learn everything I can, from all traditions and myths. Sometimes it’s helpful to cast off some kinds of religious traditions. Be free to see in new light! Certain beings intervened in order to paint that which is evil as being good, and depicted that which is good as being evil.
I like Hatter’s method of uncovering the untruths….revealing truth. Things may not have happened as depicted…since winners write/rewrite and obscure history.
I was reading this post before bed last night. Thank you for the wonderful surprise, Hatter!!! Was pondering how Nimrod (Osiris the father/Horus the son) married his mother Semiramis (Isis). Isis resurrected Osiris and hovered over him as a bird to conceive their child Horus, named after the “elder Horus” who is quite mysterious. The son (the father!) then fought the evil Set until he eventually regained his rightful kingdom. The whole copycat/cloning thing, and the abomination of desolation sitting where it ought not to be…pretender/usurper of the throne/kingdom!
Osiris (Christ) in his Light Body departed to rule the Underworld. That’s also a lot like Jesus being killed who immediately went to the Underworld….to help free the captives….before rising up and out of this world XXX….promising to return….and has returned…..he has risen! And he’s helping us to rise up too, raise the Djed (the kundalini energy serpent spinning all the charka wheels all the way up to the crown!), raise the dead in us. Christ IN US, our hope of glory! I love how M said once that Christ RX was in each of us. No wonder you know things, dear RX! Nothing remains hidden, all shall be revealed.

When souls depart their physical forms, they’re weighed by the feather of Ma’at. Those who are light (have spark!), can move forward to be with our beloved (Prime Creator, Eternal Father Nature, Christ the King of Kings!) Osiris in the afterlife/underworld…and New Earth!

Dear spirit walker, thank you so much for your comment! I am trying to catch up with the lack of religious education. There were no Sunday schools or any kind of other theological education in my country, so whatever I know I had found out by reading here and there, on and off. This is why I knew practically nothing about the eastern religions either. I like Ra Castaldo’s video, and I also like your comment💜.
Sometimes I think that the lack of such upbringing made me free to learn whatever my soul craved for. Thus, when I learned there would be a flower of life workshop, I subscribed to it. And that workshop opened the door to a series of other workshops, and I started searching for specific literature, I read Steiner and many others, I translated H. Blavatsky, I bought an album with the works of N. Roerich … and there is no end to it. My mind was open. And I found Hatter’s magical place ✨ ✨ ✨
